Weekly Plan, April 9-15
Kendo: I must admit I'm approaching this week with a bit of an edge here. I suppose if my sensei's purpose was to light a fire, it worked. Above all, I'm very unhappy with the little mistakes that plague my kendo, so I'll dedicate this week--at Mudokwan and at home--to identifying and systematically eliminating those mistakes.
Running: last week was a good running week; I actually exceeded my weekly goal just a bit (41 miles), and while I didn't do much distance-wise (longest run was 8 miles), I managed a decent pace. Perhaps more to the point, I've resumed the habit of tracking my pace, which I have not done on a regular basis for quite a while. This matters because I'm rethinking my broader running goals, and pace will figure prominently in those plans.
Meantime, this week I'll stick with my general approach: at least 40 miles, with a decent pace in the 9 minute mile range.
More generally, I'll also spend the week retooling this new template for my blog.
